Terms of Service

1. What TaxDuck does
TaxDuck helps Australian PAYG employees identify likely work-related tax deductions by analysing a bank statement you upload and mapping matching transactions to ATO labels D1–D10. TaxDuck is a software tool — not a registered tax agent — and does not lodge your return.
2. Not tax advice
Everything TaxDuck produces is an estimate to help you prepare your return. You are responsible for confirming each deduction against your own records and ATO rules, or with a registered tax agent, before lodging. TaxDuck is provided on an "as is" basis without warranties of any kind.
3. Your account and data
- You must be 18 or older and an Australian resident for tax purposes.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide.
- Bank statements are parsed in your browser; only the classified totals and line items are stored server-side to generate your report.
- You may request deletion of your report data at any time by emailing support@taxduck.com.au.
4. Payment
Report unlock is a one-off payment per tax year, processed securely by Stripe. TaxDuck does not store your card details. See our refund policy for details.
5. Acceptable use
You may not upload data you do not have the right to use, attempt to reverse-engineer the service, or use TaxDuck to prepare returns for anyone other than yourself.
6. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TaxDuck's total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid for the report in question. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
7. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of TaxDuck after an update means you accept the new terms.
